The Confessions of Frannie Langton 4.5/5„Vyras rašo siekdamas išsiskirti iš visiems bendros istorijos. The Confessions of Frannie Langton by Sara Collins

Dear Love, I Hate You (Easton High, #1) 4.5⭐️ I absolutely fell in love with this book. The pen pal trope makes me so happy. I love Xavier & Aveena and I can’t wait to see them make cameos in the rest of the series. Super excited about Finn & Dia’s book next. If you love the movie A Cinderella Story this is your kind of book. “You see, whenever you tell me I hate you from now on, it’ll mean the opposite Dear Love, I Hate You (Easton High, #1) by Eliah Greenwood

Second Nature (Blood at First Sight, #1) by Marie Lavender 2024-03-29T05:39:24+00:00

Second Nature (Blood at First Sight, #1) Something magical about an undead romanceIts obviously not a typical romance, nor is it typical about an undead ravenous vampire story. The vampire is Alec, and the human he desires is Desiree. I am a big fan of Lavenders work, so this was something I definitely wanted to read. A start of something new, and very intense and filled with grand vibrant characters. The story builds so much the reader can feel the intensity of the chemistry between the vampire and his "captive." I really enjoyed this story, and how Lavendar can spin a great tale of romance, even with the undead Second Nature (Blood at First Sight, #1) by Marie Lavender

The Lost Plot (The Invisible Library, #4) by Genevieve Cogman 2024-03-29T05:39:24+00:00

The Lost Plot (The Invisible Library, #4) Barely 3 stars. This loses a star for a tediously repetitive, lengthy middle, unmediated by the choice of a story world setting analogous to prohibition-era NYC, and peopled by flat, dimestore characters from the gangster and NYPD populations. Though there’s plenty of action, it’s a pointless merry go round of Irene and Kai, together or separately, repeatedly being captured by and escaping from various gangsters/cops/dragon. All this in and out does very little to advance or deepen the story, which is a pretty thin plot at its foundation. This is a skippable entry in the series The Lost Plot (The Invisible Library, #4) by Genevieve Cogman

The Distance Between Me and the Cherry Tree by Paola Peretti 2024-03-29T05:39:24+00:00

The Distance Between Me and the Cherry Tree A simple but charmingly bittersweet story about a young girl coming to terms with the fact that she is losing her sight. Its great to see a novel for young readers that tackles the notion of disability and difference with such honesty and sensitivity; enhanced, no doubt, by the fact that the author has the same condition as her protagonist. The narrative voice is believably youthful and naive, and the translation from Italian was clearly handled well. Though poignant, it didn’t delve as deep as it could have, and so didnt hit me in the gut quite as much as I hoped The Distance Between Me and the Cherry Tree by Paola Peretti

The Darkest Hour (The San Diegan, #1) Hes more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same. - Emily BronteThe author is new to me. Ive seen her work in a few places and didnt know if I would like it or love it. Her cast of character in The Darkest Hour is amazing. The author created characters like Sam and Natalia that I wanted as girlfriends. Nat was the momma bear that was always the voice of reason. While Sam was the one that wanted your freak flag to fly. The bickering they did within the story made me laugh time and time again. Chase... Damn that man... He was a tortured soul The Darkest Hour (The San Diegan, #1) by S.M. Soto

The Many Lives of Samuel Beauchamp (a demon's story) I wish half stars were allowed, I would say this was a solid 3 1/2 stars. I reserve 5 stars for the holy crap that was amazing books. 4 stars for the very good, 3 for the I wouldnt be embarrassed to tell people I read it books and then things get muddy... This was a short and fast read, I wasnt sure if I should expect much since it was a kindle .99 cent cheapie, but I was very pleasantly surprised! It was well written(if a little simple at times), fast paced, escapist fodder. It did its job I was entertained enough I will read the other book in the series too The Many Lives of Samuel Beauchamp (a demon's story) by Michael Siemsen
