Dance With Me (Dancing, #1) by Heidi Cullinan 2024-03-28T10:46:54+00:00

Dance With Me (Dancing, #1) 4.5 starsI have never read anything by Ms. Cullinan before; her other stories blurbs did not appeal to me. However, this one does. I like stories about dancers. I like to watch movies about dance. I still remember one ballet movie starring Mikhail Baryshnikov. "Fame" was one show, whose episodes I never missed (love Debbie Allens choreography). This one is short of PERFECT and touches me in all the right places. First, the opposite attract. They come from two different spectrum in life. Ed is a blue collar class and Laurie is from the rich class. Second, the progress of the story Dance With Me (Dancing, #1) by Heidi Cullinan

Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar Where did my review go? I posted it last night and now its gone ... Hmm. When will I learn and start writing my reviews in Word and not directly on GR?Here we go again.I wouldnt have picked this to read had it not been for the raving reviews of a few GR friends, so many thanks to Esil, Glenn, Elyse and Cheri for the direct and indirect prompt.I chose to listen to the audiobook and it was just perfect, as it was narrated by Cheryl Strayed herself.I knew early on that this book was going to kill me as I wept while listening to the introduction read by Steve Almond Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar by Cheryl Strayed

The Magpie Lord (A Charm of Magpies, #1) 4 “You’re safe here“ starsFor once I don’t have much to say, I just had a really good time reading this book. This book was made for me so i’m really shocked at how long it took me to read it. Please don’t ask me why I hadn’t read this yet because I have no idea. This book is a lot of the things I love in books and yet I never picked it up before today. I really enjoyed it and I absolutely loved the ambiance of the book and I loved the main characters very much. I’m very excited to read more of this series. All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries, #1) by Martha Wells 2024-03-28T10:46:54+00:00

All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries, #1) Loved this book, its a four point five and wouldve been a full five except for the ending. For me, great scifi is when the author doesnt start out telling me how this new world works. Im far more interested in how the characters act/behave/ survive in this world that is unfamiliar to me. Good scifi hits the ground running giving the reader enough credit to keep up as the author slowly metes out the world building while setting a very dynamic conflict. My favorite scifi of late is Old Mans War, what a great read (along with the two followups). All systems Red is on this same level for me All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries, #1) by Martha Wells

Popping the Cherry (Facing the Music, #1) I absolutely adored this book! Its totally chick lit and you know what THATS OKAY!! Thats what made this such a great read! I was in the mood for something like this when I started it, so I dove right in and sat back and enjoyed it from the get go!Right off the bat we are brought into this world where our main female lead, Lena, is getting pressured to lose that innocent cherry shes clinging on to! Of course she has reservations, but with the plan her friends have for her she decides to follow along. Thats where the story begins Popping the Cherry (Facing the Music, #1) by Aurelia B. Rowl

The Mermaid's Daughter Completely Awed.First off, I started this book a week ago on a lunch break at work, read six pages and then closed the book and put it away. Just in the first few pages I knew this was going to be a non-stop read and I refused to open it again until I could sit and read it all the way through... which I did... in about half a day. Amazing story! Now, generally I do not like to quote lines from novels I read in my reviews, not sure why, I just dont The Mermaid's Daughter by Ann Claycomb
